The people behind Make. Move. Matter.

Matova was started to be a bridge between where people are and where they want to go. A person directs every project, and these are the two who answer when you write in.

Ian conceived Matova and co-founded the company to be a bridge between where people are and where they want to go. Matova is built for the companies and individuals who are stuck, wherever that happens in their process, and it gives them actionable steps backed by transparent information.

Everything he brings to that work, he has had to do himself. At Tennessee State University, where he earned his degree in mass communications, he learned how content, audience, promotion, and revenue depend on each other by leading every one of those functions. Time around a music touring company and Tyler Perry Studios showed him how big creative work comes together behind the scenes. Managing two platinum-selling music producers, and helping with their marketing and contract negotiations, taught him how visibility and the business deal behind it work together.

A Master of Communication Management from USC gave him the strategic frame. A cybersecurity certification and self-taught coding fundamentals mean he also understands what sits under a website: how it's built and what keeps it trustworthy. A Detroit native who has lived in Nashville, Atlanta, the Phoenix area, and Los Angeles, Ian says each place sharpened how he reads an audience. At Matova, all of it goes into one line: Make. Move. Matter.
