Accessibility Statement

What we do

• Describe meaningful images with alternative text, and mark decorative images so screen readers skip them.
• Provide a "Skip to content" link and a logical heading structure.
• Design for readable text and color contrast that meets WCAG AA.
• Build menus, links, buttons and forms that work with a keyboard alone.
• Respect the reduced-motion setting on your device for animations.
• Offer email as an alternative to the contact form, which needs JavaScript.

Known limitations

• Some portfolio pieces use scroll animation or interactive effects. We are working to make sure each one has a plain, accessible alternative.
• On the homepage, text sits over a moving 3D globe. We dim the scene behind the text, but contrast there can vary. Turning on reduced motion in your device settings shows the page as a still image with the text on solid panels.
• The text boxes on the contact form have faint outlines, about 1.4:1 against their background, which is below the 3:1 WCAG target for form controls. Their labels, focus rings and error messages do meet contrast.
• On the Snapshot form, the message box is labeled optional, but the form asks for either a message or a website link.
• The two tabs above the contact form work with the Tab, Enter and Space keys, but not yet with the arrow keys.
• A few small labels, such as the tagline under our logo and the status tags on projects, are set smaller than 11 pixels.

We don't rely on overlays

We fix accessibility issues in the site's code rather than adding a third-party accessibility widget.
